Math

  • A teacher could create a podcast with episodes giving step-by-step instructions to complete complex problems.
  • In geometry, students could use wikis to collaborate on proofs.

Science

  • Students could work together to write informative wiki entries about their lessons.
  • A teacher could post a close-up of a photo and biology students could speculate about the graphic.

History

  • Students could collaborate on research projects using wikis.
  • A teacher could use Google Docs to publish slide presentations.
  • Relevant TeacherTube video can be embedded into a site for easy access.


World Languages

  • A teacher could create a podcast episode for students to practice listening and dictation.
  • Students could record podcast episodes to practice speaking.
  • If international collaboration is possible, students can post blog entries/comments in a foreign language and correspond with native-speaking students.
  • A teacher could embed a Google Maps widget into the class site and ask students to write directions from the identified location (ex. the Louvre) to the nearest park.
